Ultimately it is just op-ed tier fodder, but for me the "coming war with china" looks like some high level actors attempt to teach americans a lesson. If I had to guess, the hope to break america of whats left of the shredded remnants of our isolationist past. Something along the lines of "if you choose isolation, sooner or later your enemies come for you. Power only lasts for those who choose to wield it. Either go forth and conquer, or be conquered." Why else would they be performing operations on u.s. soil to pin it on the chinese? There is rarely a higher level lesson, but the big three and their territory, has historically been inviolable. And now it is not. And that is significant.
It means the game has changed, which means assumptions have changed, which means the playbook has changed. We'll see what happens next.
