Israel is planning to carry out multiple rounds of attacks against Iran, an Israeli source told CNN.

“This is not a one-day attack,” the source said.

The Israeli government saw a window of opportunity to carry out this attack, both militarily and diplomatically, the source added.

It's so difficult for Iran to directly attack Israel that its leaders might be tempted to authorise attacks on other targets: like US troops in Iraq, Saudi oil refineries, shipping in the Persian Gulf, or Israeli or US civilians around the world.
