I talked myself into this old and vile cat,
Fat, and angry,
And rendered in Red and Black,

It slept lazily at an old friend’s house,
Inept, foul-mouthed, unwilling to catch a mouse,
My Old Friend went to get her hip replaced,
And her old cat,
had to be placed,
Into a New Home, absolutely Post-Haste,

This old cat,
screeches, night and day,
This vile hag,
screeches, for food and play,

“MmmmReoooooWWWWW” in the morning,

“MmmmReoooooWWWW” late at night,

“MmmmReoooooWWWWW” as a scorning,

Even if I am out of sight.

Her name is Brown-Cat, and she is older than the hills,
18, or 20, or unfathomably old,
Believe her age to be what you will,

She is a simple cat, who despises the cold...
She cannot jump, not like a kitten,
So she whines,
like an un-gloved mitten,
And I lift up her arthritic ass,
So she can sleep in my bed,
with disgusting Hag-Cat Sass.

Judging from its surroundings it was done by a young warrior, perhaps 16 years of age, who was consuming large amounts of sacred battle herbs and Natty Light

Alone,
Alone,
Alone Again,
No Thanks Given,
Fallow Field to Amend,

Spite you Fickle Father,
Prick your Simple Face,
Let Time Flow Now,
Without your Step-Mother's Embrace,

Choose a Hill,
And Choose a Grave,
and Choose a Childhood Memory,
Over which we shall Pave,

The Road is Ridden with Whiches and Won'ts
And I have never learn't,
My Do's,
From my Don'ts

And Tonight,
is the Night,
That I will...

Catch and Release,
Says the Fisherman,
Casting his line down into water,
That stupid,
Silly Creature,
Biting the worm he wants to slaughter.

Pulled into the a higher realm,
By a line he don't understand,
The Fish finds himself,
Jerked into the air,
and Judged by a Proper Man,

He sure is big
What a Keeper!
This fish is the best!
Oooooooooooorrrrrrrrrr
This trash catfish,
came from polluted rivers,
Best to leave him off the hook,
and send him back to muddy depths,
To contemplate the bait he took.

And so, a fisherman,
will always
Talk to a caught fish,
and sometimes
I wonder
If an old testament deity,
would do the exact same,
type of -ish,

A thin prophet shown through the veil,
But eventually thrown back,
Or a fatty prophet ascended to the seat of God,
Skillet fried,
into a well-earned,
Old Testament snack.

That vile Demiurge who Calls himself God, drowned all of my Forefathers,
A wicked being, powerful and potent, He created the physical universe,
Without election, or consent,
I never asked to be,
Yet here I am.

He, and He Alone decided that we will Exist.
And he gave us Eden, a Perfect Place.
And he decided to create a Serpent.
And he decided to create Eve.
And he decided that we should fall from Grace.

He gave us Freedom of Will,
And when we used that Freedom,
He Admonished us for our Choices.

We Failed him,
Before He had even given us Commandments.

Our Men Created Cities,
They Congregated, And Did what They felt was right,
Without instruction from the Lord,

And what they did thereafter,
However Sinful it was,
They did not live in the time of Christ,
Or Abraham,

How could they know?

But the Rains came.
And the Rains would not stop.

For Forty Days, the Floods Came.
Washing Away All that Did not submit to the God That Sent them.

Somehow, a Single Man and his Family were Chosen by this God to survive the Flood,

Antediluvian, that's what they called those times,
When God chose to call us all wicked,
Despite having created us himself.
How was it for us, who were created in the Image of God, to Survive,

And realize that God Himself was Suicidal?

That he sought to wipe his own Image off of the face of the Earth?
Never Again.

That is why I, Nimrod, in Babylon
Began the construction of a Tower Higher than any before,
This Tower would be higher than any flood that God could send, A promise to us,
A Promise to our Freedom from his Wrath.
All of Humanity was united, fearing the Demiurge would strike again,

So we Built,
and we Built Together,
Unified.

The stones were heavy.
The slope was steep.
And everything was against us.

But the cost, the cost of not doing it...
The cost of not doing it would be everything...

Up and up and Up again,
It was towering through the clouds.
We were almost certain to reach Heaven,
And claim ourselves as worthy,

Until that Wicked, and Vengeful God,
With all of his Power,
and All of his Might,
And all of his Jealousy,
Decided that we were not allowed into Heaven.
A perfect place,
A peaceful home,
forbidden to us by the Heavenly Father.

He smashed our Tower,
And confused our Language,
So we would never be one people, together,
But forgotten brothers, fighting, forever.

And he let us know,
Once and for all,
We will never be good enough for Him.

Look and See
Look and See
Look at this!
And not
at me

Look at That!
Right over there!
Terrorists!
Attack my lair!

Look at me!
I am a victim!
Look at me!
I never kicked 'em!

Look at Israel!
It is my Home!
We sit so peaceful,
In an Iron Dome,

Give me aid!
And give me favor!
And I'll keep your country stocked,
With cheap immigrant labor!

Ignore your children,
And their empty table,
And let's definitely ignore,
That adrenochrome consumption fable...

It's a short ways to go now
Try to breathe easy
I'm praying too
I didn't want it to come to this
I loved you like a brother
You know I'm thankful for all you taught me
The best an apprentice could ask for
Tried to ignore my suspicions for too long
Despite your good heart
You can't help your at times shifty
Ego-driven crypto tendencies
You've gone too far this time

It's a short ways to go now
We're not tunneling under sidewalks this time
We're not in Kansas anymore
The birds are solemnly silent in the trees
And the trees will not be clapping their hands

It's a short ways to go now
May God have mercy on our souls

Shadow of moon is the moon in the sky of it —
Wan as the face of a wizard, and far!
Never there shines from the firmament high of it
Grace of the planet or glory of star.
All the year round, in the place of white days on it —
All the year round where there never is night —
Lies a great sinister, bitter, blind haze on it:
Growth that is neither of darkness nor light!
Wild is the cry of the sea in the caves by it —
Sea that is smitten by spears of the snow;
Desolate songs are the songs of the waves by it —
Down in the south, where the ships never go. - Henry Kendall

Floating on the opposite side of the Earth
Somewhere in the Indian Ocean
Closest city would be
Augusta, Western Australia
First sighted by the Dutch East India Co. 1622

But I'll set my sextant
For the Courbet Peninsula
The desolation islands, of Kerguelen
Port-aux-Francais
Population: 50-100

Wailing of monstrous beasts
From a voyage of Sinbad
The Elephant Seal
Twice the weight of a Walrus
6-7x a Polar Bear

I could journey like Poe's Pym of Nantucket
Escaping shipwreck, mutiny, cannibals
Heading south from savages
Fate unknown; if I'd find Hollow Earth

Hope for ship repaired
By Kipling's engineer McAndrews

Or travel by primitive wood craft
Like Verne's sequel with Jearling
Avoiding compass deviation
So as not to be shipwrecked
On the lost Ice Sphinx

Maybe see the ghostship
Of Biddle's post WWII battle
A gold bullion carrying
Nazi U-boat

Maybe an adventure from home
Like Mitchell's Mr. Furnance
Seeking a professor's daughters hand
With a tutor's tales of -
Androids composing sonnets
And computing vulgar fractions
Perpetual motion machines
Solution to squaring the circle
The Tachypomp - successively
Stacked smaller trains
To achieve infinite speed

And most importantly
A tube through hollow Earth
From the Kerguelen Islands
To somewhere near my place in America

And I just may be lonely enough
To take that sojourn
Through Al Stewart's
Loneliest Place on the Map
For love, or a Wikipedia entry

Night comes First,
And Filthy Sleep Follows,
While Distant Dreams,
Escape me while I Wallow,

Half-Naked Self-Hatred
Grime and Grease
Yet time will
Cease
Only
to
Increase,
Your Time,
Upon this Earth.

Existence
And
Subsistence
Faith and Filthy Thought,

Hill to Heaven,
or Trip to Hell,
The Guidance is my own.

Last Poor Seed of my sewn,
Tree of Life be Grown.

Settled Fog,
with Warm Blankets,
and,
Snot-Yellowed Sleeves,

Decorated the City,
Before,
New All-Hallow's,
Last o' Year's,
Religious Party's,
Post Solstice,
Winter's Eve.

The Kinder
were Cold
in Last Season's
Winter Slankets

As the women speak about,
their suffering marriages,
and how a husband,
Had sank it.

But off towards the sky,
All see
A looming light
A pixel
A camera's artifact
It is just barely in sight

Is that Jolly ol' Elon,
Tow'd by eight New Jersey Drones, bright?
No, no,
as it clear the Horizon,
It proves to be nobody,
Other than New Year's Saint Biden!!!

He dashes down to the Federal Penitentiaries,
He is pardoning everybody!!!
And he certainly does it quick,
Looking past our malfeasance,
with an Ice Cream Cone's Lick

And as soon as he came,
He is off once again,
Shouting:

Yeah, well you know... I... uhhh said Putin... No, Kamala, is our Friend! Regardless, all your felonies are forgiven.

And just like that,
He leaves,
with Charisma,
Off to Enjoy,
A few dollars, from Burisma.

Merry Christmas, and Happy Solstice (though I'm a day late. Maybe next year make a pilgrimage to Stonehenge or New Grange

With nearly two notebooks full (one was already started, the other a work in progress) I present my selected pieces from rehab.

Omitted, for the most part, are numerous journal entries full of colorful characters alluded to elsewhere, essay-ish thoughts, trippy dream diaries, chord sheets figuring out songs by ear, and many things to research later per usual, etc.

Maybe I'll get back into music. Had plenty of great jam sessions though I'm rusty. Enjoy.

I know I'll catch flack linking poal, but I hope y'all understand

Complaints of odd thoughts, which he does not seem to think belong to him.

Bilateral twitching of the thumbs.

Abdominal spasms.

Echolalia.

Catatonic lack of eye movement.

Priaprism.

Clear and obvious Oppositional Defiance Disorder.

Constant nocturnal enuresis.

And, most interesting of all,

An odd sort of graphomania which compels him to write about his own medical conditions in the 3rd person.

Have you ever seen a rose
Disappear or explode
And you realize this train
Is not a road or a rose

The enjambment is worn
Who's a pimp or a whore
In a long distance call
In a cracked compass sport

Guess the world needs a joist
Fear the dry not the moist
You can feel Aden's current
But you still have a choice

I had a dream of bowling green
But I am not sure which one
Nurses admire my glass case
But they never let me run

I had a dream of bowling green
But I'm not sure of the place
Met barons at the station
Guess we run a different pace

I had a dream of bowling green
The pins and balls were fixed
The bumpers were deflated
You'll pay automatic tip

I had a dream of bowling green
I was biting through my straps
Going back to the garden naked
Well I'm never coming back

I had a dream of bowling green
Felt Sheela na gig's embrace
The mirror of my equation
And the fear of wind abased

All poems are born of the moister things,
Wetten'd thoughts of Slime,
A Father's forgotten load,
Turned into a Mother's Menstrual Crime,

Conception was my first mistake,
Second was a thought,
Third was trying to write a poem,
Because the last Stanza I forgot.
