Long enough 4 days this week, goin into a marathon tomorrow til Thurs to complete a huge project at work (shop work, so yea it’s a small fiddle). At the local amusement park, drinking pricey but strong beers and riding crazy intense roller coasters. — ha was just interrupted typing this post by a call by my bud on band Chicago tour; amp error and problems with settings on control system just prior to soundcheck. Got em sorted; some “off the menu” settings from a branch shop… — wait I was talkin about being off work hahah. Back to crazy coasters!!

Yea I know jewce and all..

Watched some old Rocky movies, not bad. Arc of this movie is unmistakable from few minutes of watching. Commercial break now from fight where Creed is losing first rounds. Not so bad watching a White man beat the piss out of a nigger. What’s real funny is subtitles are word-for-word ebonic monkey speak. Which is good cause I just played Tulsa Time by Don Williams ha. And now Tony Joe White.

Got a good 4 1/2 hours at the park, 8 rides I think. I love riding coasters White men have designed and built more than I hate the increasingly-swarthy crowds. Lotta nigs, some hispanolas, a couple towel-heads. This park is in PA, no “teenager” fight crowds like down south (shame cause those parks have badass coasters I really want to do). Just general stupidity from all. But nice few hours, walking around outside on a beautiful day, crushing strong beers and riding some top-notch coasters.

Was listening to a coworker talk about how his girlfriend is “finding herself” now that she’s traveling a bunch for work, and how he wishes she could have done so before they started dating or something similar. Good dude, hopefully she’s not finding herself riding the cock carousel. Anyways, occurs to me:

Women think and do pretty much what they’re told. Unfortunately, the only thing they listen to is social media.

At work no less with a coworker. We’re discussing testing L’Acoustic amplifiers. He said the manual doesn’t advise load-checking (driving into a load bank of resistors) or measuring frequency response or distortion, but simply plug in a speaker and make sure “it sounds right.” I said, “That’s actually pretty based.” Total reflex hahaha. He said, “Based on what?” Lol. No one else heard or picked up on it. But it is based; use yer fuckin ears ha.

I usually love working a Sunday matinee show (sound guy here), but today was dumb. A-ok ultimately of course. 13-member Cuban jazz band. Cubano spics showed up an hour late, to nobodies’ surprise. They fucked around for another hour, finally got to soundcheck, and they get worried about how long it’s taking while I dial up everything while asking these hispanolas if they’re hearing everything, which they mostly responded to. Got em there finally, right as doors opened. Two set show went off just fine. This venue has the top-notch tech of ~15 years ago, and it’s still totally good. Ultimately ok day, but I may get even more selective on gigs ha.
