I think that it is more that most politicians aren't playing the left/right thing; they are just picking conflicting sides of issues that don't matter to the actual rulers.
This is why it feels like the "right wing" doesn't stand up for shit. Yeah, they'll toss a bone or something, but not one governor has said "how about we stop the NFA in our state and maybe issue all 15 year olds the gun of their choice". You never see anything anti-usury, pro-family, etc.
Breaking a personal moral code causes negative feelings as a reminder to not do it. If you live a moral life then you won't have these feelings of guilt. This also means that if you are a good person and you break your moral code it will really hurt you.
I think we are in agreement, I was just clarifying.
Maybe we should just start going to these and recording the parents and kids cheering this on. Shame is their game, it is not ethical, but we are sometimes not given choices.
i view that as a stunt to push the window. I am a firm believer of "words only have the power you give them", and vulgar language should not be stopped among adults who can logically think through things.
Children are a whole other situation and should never be put in a situation that they can not think through. This is why you should expose children to sex, vulgar language, obscenity of any kind, and nonsense that parents don't approve of. Stories, religions, etc. fall into nonsense at that stage of the journey, and can add or remove morality during development.
no one here does, but they are going all out with this shit and need to point it out wherever we see it. I don't attend elementary school, but care what they are doing there as well.
Yeah, we need employers to have only one function in an employee's life, payment for labor as agreed upon; none of this potential extortion (you will lose more than simple wages if a job is lost).
The issue, exasperated by HR and lawyers (echoes implied), is that the hiring process is long and tedious for companies and anything government related. This means that before you even work your first day the company has spent a lot of time and money on you. It is also difficult to undo a hire if it doesn't work out.
Hiring for any job, say mcdonalds, should be as easy as it is for a tradesman or lawn mowing boy. They are all jobs where labor is exchanged for money. Creating these barriers decreases the meritocracy, and really hurts small businesses that have these hoops. If we can decouple health care from jobs then everyone could be contractors and remove this nonsense. All things like PTO are nonsense, getting a paid day off is the same as getting a 1/365 pay raise, but NPCs don't understand that.

i think green might not be a grifter, but this is a a dumb move, although it might protect her a little bit to have a dick catcher on her team.

Hr was the prerequisite to ending meritocracy and bringing in affirmative action.
