One of the greatest comics and wordsmiths of all time was not Jewish. George Carlin was Irish and Catholic.

Jews are often presented as superior in language and show biz.

So I found it interesting that George Carlin was not Jewish. He was Irish and was Catholic (which he rejected but still).

Edit
If you are a pussy and are offended by his old 7 dirty words speech and never heard the full thing and what it was really about (too much GOVERNMNET oversight and the loss of constitutional rights as well as the ironies of word use in different contexts) then I really dislike that you make conservatives look like old bitter grandmother's and pussies.

And he did much more than that and called out the Jew and their complete control of wealth and government without naming them

Carlin was a judas steer.

The objective was demoralization; damage ethics, language, and set the baseline attitude for tolerance to corruption.

Was he coached and groomed to be a judas steer? I don't know, considering his daughter is a militant progressive feminist signs point to yes.

If you’re looking for the greatest non Jewish wordsmiths of all time then look no further than literally all the novelists and poets who are considered the greatest of all time. As a matter of fact I can’t think of a single famous jew in either of these categories. Jews only began to gain recognition for language ability once the language was vulgarized and vulgarized by jews who controlled publishing and Hollywood.

[ - ] HughBriss 3 points 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 18:48:05 ago (+3/-0)

Absolutely correct. The greatest writers, including novelists, poets, essayists, and even orators were not jewish. jews were instrumental in vulgarizing English since they were allowed into England and the US.

The lowercase jew to start a sentence. Excellent

Irish tend to be good wordsmiths. We’ve always had a storytelling culture so I guess linguistic abilities were selected for through the ages. We’ve always punched above our weight (there’s not very many of us remember) in the arts, particularly prose and poetry. We’ve had four Nobel laureates in literature, but certainly Joyce and arguably Behan and Wilde should’ve added to that total if the fates hadn’t conspired against them. But that’s all really just a symptom of the culture here - walk around any town or city in Ireland and you’ll find yourself enchanted with the turns of phrase and witticisms. Just a storytelling culture.

[ - ] HughBriss 1 point 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 18:56:33 ago (+1/-0)

That's interesting. I didn't know it was four. I remembered Beckett was one, but I had to look up the others.

William Butler Yeats, Literature, 1923
George Bernard Shaw, Literature, 1925
Samuel Beckett, Literature, 1969
Séamus Heaney, Literature, 1995

Kind of a mixed bag, and I'm not sure that Beckett was really that deserving. I'm not sure what to make of Yeats, the man, but Yeats, the writer and poet, was eminently deserving.

But not withstanding the Nobel award (which is awarded less on merit than on political lobbying), Ireland has a well deserved reputation as a land of gifted writers and poets. Alas, never read Behan, but I've read entirely too much Joyce. Yet another gifted writer, but he seemed to take too much enjoyment in alienating the land of his birth.

I would not consider figures such as Yeats, Wilde, Shaw, or Beckett to be Irish particularly as they were Anglo-Irish Protestants. These people were eventually subjected to effective ethnic cleansing by Irish nationalists.

The Anglo-Irish novelist and short story writer Elizabeth Bowen memorably described her experience as feeling "English in Ireland, Irish in England" and not accepted fully as belonging to either.

Yeats in speaking of the Anglo-Irish and Ireland correctly observed that "We have created the most of the modern literature of this country." This from a 10% minority if of course a privileged minority.

[He] called out the Jew and their complete control of wealth and government without naming them

OP, if he didn't name the jew, he didn't call them out. You can't have it both ways. He either did or he didn't, and I know he didn't. To him, all great wealth and corporate control was just a great "them". He knew better to call out the jew because he wouldn't work again. So much for his "bravery". It sounds more like anyone who doesn't want to shut of his considerable revenue stream. It's safer going for more obvious targets.

Carlin was an iconoclast and a very smart guy. He was not a sheep.

But ultimately he was in favor of dissassembling western civilization, and all of it’s pesky morals, which he viewed as irrational and superstitious. This is the fundamental problem with liberalism. It believes that traditional moral behaviors can simply be removed without a cost to the overall efficiency of society. Western efficiency is built upon cooperativity and reliable “moral” types will not continue to participate in a society increasing filled with drug addled left wing sluts like , frankly, George Carlin. Who don’t make anything.

GC wanted a no-holds-barred “adult” popular culture and he wanted to get rid of all barriers to using sex and bad language and drugs in all places. He thought anyone trying to stop him from exposing kids to smut and drugs was an uptight puritan. He didn’t just want to stop elites from limiting our speech. He wanted no rules whatsoever. I have a problem with that.

[ - ] HughBriss 1 point 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 15:40:04 ago (+1/-0)

Yes, quite a wordsmith. His piece "Seven Dirty Words You Can't Say on Television", a paean to vulgarity, was quite eloquent. When a Pacifica radio station played it during the day, a listener reported it to the FCC and the radio station was fined. It appealed, and eventually the case was heard by the Supreme Court, which found in favor of the FCC.

Sorry to disagree with you, but Carlin was a champion of foul language and all manner of disgusting speech, masquerading as "free speech".

[ - ] Crackinjokes [op] 3 points 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 15:48:53 ago (+3/-0)

Carlin went through a lot of phases in his life. He was a very clean family comic on variety shows early on. He then switched and did more 60s youth humor.

He then accidentally stumbled on the disallowed words when he was arrested but then acquitted on obscenity charges for saying some words on stage. He then came up with the irony of the seven dirty words as part of his analysis of human speech and how words had different meanings in different contexts. People usually just hear the outtakes and the short clips but it was actually quite an interesting sort of study of language in a humorous way.

All of his comedy was ironic observations of the absurdities of life.

Yeah if bad language is your biggest thing and you hate a few curse words you're going to think he was terrible and yeah I wouldn't take my kid to see it but he was a genius and he did a lot more than just that.

He was one of the first people to speak out about the Jewish club that runs the world and how they're fooling you and you're not in it and they're giving you perceived choices that aren't any choice at all. In fact the last comedy he did focused mostly on that and then he of course had a heart attack which was interesting timing.

[ - ] HughBriss 2 points 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 15:58:12 ago (+2/-0)

Did he ever call them out as jews? I don't ever remember that. I bought his first album, "Take Offs and Put Ons", in 1972 and I found it superior to anything he did since then with the exception of "A Place for My Stuff". He was a polemicist, but his polemics was solidly left wing. When he called out the corporatocracy that owns and runs the country, he generally described them as wealthy, empty suited business fucks, but never jews.

[ - ] xmasskull 0 points 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 17:13:08 ago (+1/-1)

He then accidentally stumbled on the disallowed words when he was arrested but then acquitted on obscenity charges for saying some words on stage.

Not quite right. He admired Lenny Bruce (aka Leonard Schneider, who was very upfront about being a jew) and had himself arrested one night with Bruce to make a statement about being in solidarity him. There was nothing accidental about it.

[ - ] GoldenAgeWhen 1 point 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 15:50:41 ago (+1/-0)

i view that as a stunt to push the window. I am a firm believer of "words only have the power you give them", and vulgar language should not be stopped among adults who can logically think through things.

Children are a whole other situation and should never be put in a situation that they can not think through. This is why you should expose children to sex, vulgar language, obscenity of any kind, and nonsense that parents don't approve of. Stories, religions, etc. fall into nonsense at that stage of the journey, and can add or remove morality during development.

[ - ] xmasskull 1 point 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 17:15:28 ago (+1/-0)

"Children" these days, put their own selves in situations they cannot think through.

[ - ] HughBriss 1 point 2.9 yearsJun 7, 2022 18:45:06 ago (+1/-0)

From you, that's a compliment. It means I have standards and a sense of propriety. It's not Christian morality that make me find his speech obscene, it's my own internal gauge of what's correct and what not. Vulgarity weakens people because it makes them less capable of using better speech. And even you have to recognize that people regulate their speech based on situation and context. That's not "self-censorship", that respecting other people's intolerance for vulgarity.

Expecting another "u suck dicks christcuck faggot" response.

Lenny Bruce was a Jew that had his life destroyed and eventually ended over our rights to speech like openly shitting on Jews. Carlin was inspired most by freedom. Which is what most here want

Gotta be real here folks I know its easy to put every problem in the Jew bucket, which to be real is about 90% of the problem.

Not everything is so easy. This is a good example.

Nothing too earth shaking for those whose mindscape isn't dominated by jo0z and is informed by a broader understanding of America's cultural geography. The Irish in this country are not huge achievers - but to the extent they are it is well known that a biggie is as entertainers.

This is a worthwhile book:

As is this:

Politically though Carlin was clearly left leaning. And the Irish have been primarily responsible for the reputation of Massachusetts politically. Last I checked the Kennedy family are not jo0z for example.
