Ive been listening to this Youtube Channel "Brief Case". The old days had some seriously sick people. Holy criminey, no, seriously if you think modern people have a lock on fucked up stuff. No
Yeah, I know I linked to the CATO Institute. Sorry, they had the best synopsis of this story.
This is possibly the best representation of "current times". Farenheit 451, edited by people who wanted to update it for "modern times", which is literally what the book is about. Cancel culture, written in 1953, this publisher trying to edit it in the late 60s or 70s...
Being lulled into a sense of complacency is totally different than being lol'd into a sense of complacency. This may seem a frivolous thread, but speaking clearly is important. Not only will your message be received as intended, you'll sound smart(even if you're not so much).
Of the handful I have listened to so far I recommend The Phoenix and the Sword and The Tower of the Elephant. The Phoenix and the Sword is basically the first Conan story and tells of King Conan facing an attempted overthrow.
All of them are pretty short, being basically short stories.
And after listening to several, there are weird things. Things that are different than the movies. Like, the plots are, almost, more retarded sometimes. At least twice in the going on five books now, someone smuggling treasure Britain feels a right to. That's the reason Bond goes in. People are smuggling gold or diamonds from somewhere and Britain isn't getting their cut.
