Amazingly sexist. Disappointingly boomer racist.

And after listening to several, there are weird things. Things that are different than the movies. Like, the plots are, almost, more retarded sometimes. At least twice in the going on five books now, someone smuggling treasure Britain feels a right to. That's the reason Bond goes in. People are smuggling gold or diamonds from somewhere and Britain isn't getting their cut.

They're hilarious

I read Casino Royale and I liked it. I don't know "sexist" is in the context of James Bond books, but if it means not treating women as equals to men, or treating them as weaker and less useful than men are, then yes, I'd agree, and I'm all for it. I also don't know what you mean by "boomer" racist. James Bond wasn't a boomer, nor was Ian Fleming. Both the author and the character served in WWII, making them older than boomers since Casino Royale was published in 1953. In any event, the racism wasn't objectionable since it was true.

Which Bond? Or was it the Bond from the books, the one we all imagine he sounds like, suave, urbane, sophisticated, and VERY British?
