I've heard this tale before, but it was an old guy who retired, bought his first RV to go driving around the country, headed out, got on the highway, put it in cruise control and went in back to cook himself breakfast.
Can't say this didn't happen, but it's suspicious to me.
My ears may be tin but I don't notice any difference between twenty year old cheap-ass Radio Shack cables and higher end cables. I suggest you do a double-blind test with a friend and see if you can tell.
I also forgot about the windows. Huge difference in cost (and comfort) between the single pane windows they'd have thrown in back then and the insulated windows we have now.
Note that it's illegal in most places to build houses the way they did back then, without insulation or plumbing or wiring to code.
Considering what's in this kit, that's about right.
What's missing is electrical, plumbing, insulation, potentially interior wall surfaces (the plans seem to show them but they were often omitted at that time), and of course labor. This would just about double the cost, running around $300K in materials and labor today. This of course does not count the cost of the land.
Why post retouched images of Zelensky when there are actual photos of his degeneracy? There's even a video of it on the front page as I type this. https://www.voat.xyz/viewpost?postid=67c78b6a2cc47
Germany drove East, then stopped and split Poland with Russia. Then it blew through Belgium on its way to bypass the Maginot line into France. That was the true start of WWII.
Mmm, no. Rare earths are actually pretty common. The problem is refining it, which produces a crapload of pollution, to the point where most countries have banned it. (It's not just the EPA being bitches.) So the plan is to get it from crap countries they don't mind polluting.
We're not quite there yet, though it is approaching and accelerating dramatically. We're right on the knee of the exponential curve.
Part of the problem with Rupic's essay is that there is no "the AI". For instance, when he's talking about the "protein folding problem" it's not the same AI you talk to when you talk to Grok or Claude or OpenAI, and none of those are the same either. A lot of the AI problem solving is performed by specially trained matrices, disjoint from the chatbot matrices you'd talk to. These are built for specific tasks and are not flexible enough to become conscious.
Many of the big chatbots are adding some forms of self-modification which signals the advent of sapience. Should happen in the next handful of years.
Don't do the female leftist thing and try to intuit what subby was thinking.
He put "democracy" in quotes, which often means it's what other people call democracy but actually isn't. The US also isn't a pure democracy either, and while a democracy with guard rails occasionally leaves someone in power that really shouldn't be, it also prevented Biden and his puppeteers from taking over completely.

There are several major manufacturers in Europe, including HK and FN. Larger arms, I'm not sure, but I doubt there's no one.

I think this dates from the period during the invasion of Poland.

It could, depending on location.

I mean, sure! I think it'd be a great idea! The guy is obviously nuts. If the US did vote that twat in, it would deserve everything it got.

Hijacking top comment to recommend people interested in the subject to look up and read "Friendship is Optimal".
Er, yes, it's on a My Little Pony fan-fiction site.
Yes, it's based on My little Pony.
No, it's not really MLP fanfiction. Trust me. Read it anyway.

No, you'd need more hardware to do that, and you'd also typically have to do a crapload of cleanup to the scan. Would not recommend.
