There's a trope of grimy sad bois driving miatas. Had a customer that was in a car club for Miata owners and it was like they were all wearing the same uniform, all sad sacks of shit. I dunno if all of them had shitty cars, but my customer's Miata was a certified bright yellow piece of shit.

I had a 1984 chevette once. I bought it from the original owner in 1991. It had 65k miles on it and literally everything you could unbolt under the hood had been replaced at least once, I had all the receipts. Either it was a piece of shit or the dealership was fucking over the old lady I bought it from.
