The biggest problem in dealing with stupid people is NOT that they are stupid.
Once it is established that someone is stupid, that becomes a known factor going forward and a baseline for dealing with them.
No, the biggest problem in dealing with stupid people, is that they believe that EVERYONE ELSE is just as stupid as THEY are.
So every time the little cartoon 40w light bulb flickers into life over their heads, they immediately feel that that MUST be the "smartetest thought ever", and must be shared.
This used to be confined to just their own immediate vicinity. But now social media lets them broadcast their stupidity to the entire planet, and resonate in the equally empty skulls that reside therein.
Logging onto the internet now is like walking outside and being immediately assailed by the idiot mental meanderings of millions of retarded chihuahuas.
Walking demonstrations of the Dunning–Kruger effect, they CAN'T think, and worse, they absolutely will NOT shut the fuck up about matters of which they have only just heard of, but have no knowledge.

They don't need immediate results or flashy wins. That's what Western media needs for their consumers, not what Russia needs to win. They just need to stay the course. Their economy hasn't collapsed, they're building new ways to make revenue, and the Ukraine is slowly disappearing. Hell, the power of the West in general is slowly disappearing, and that's what the world is actually watching.

Russia is pursuing a rather clever strategy. The only question is really whether this was actually the original plan or a fortuitous development they seized upon. I tend to think the latter.
