I saw that yesterday, but I don’t believe it.

I would gladly invest in this.

[ - ] beece 0 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 17:25:17 ago (+0/-0)

I'm holding out for the machine that turns lead into gold.

[ - ] fnbs 0 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 16:47:29 ago (+0/-0)

If this ever became a viable low cost fuel source and an asset to the public, these inventers would be suicided and we'd never here from this again

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 2 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 15:48:00 ago (+2/-0)

https://www.aircela.com/the-science

Their machine's product is methanol that can be made into gasoline.

[ - ] Peleg 2 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 14:58:01 ago (+2/-0)

Huh!
And here I thought this was another shitpost about dangus! LOL

[ - ] RMGoetbbels 1 point 1 dayMay 29, 2025 15:58:35 ago (+1/-0)

We can shitpost about him later, there's always time and it's always so much fun.

[ - ] qwop 4 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 14:10:13 ago (+4/-0)*

I know another extremely advanced machine that makes gasoline out of thin air, and it's totally free. It's called a tree.

[ - ] Pasty 7 points 2 daysMay 29, 2025 13:54:44 ago (+7/-0)

This is the most retarded form of carbon capture imaginable. If they were serious about it then they'd just attach these units on the exhausts of stuff like gas lines that actually have a reasonable amount of carbon. Only 0.0427% of the air is CO2 so it's just pointless not tapping from easier available sources just assuming the process works in the first place.

Scamming bastards.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 1 point 1 dayMay 29, 2025 15:50:06 ago (+1/-0)

So I think the oil industry won't be sending the goons to disappear theses clowns. I need to find a chemistry book because this sounds damn familiar.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 0 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 19:10:25 ago (+0/-0)

Least retarded form of carbon capture: trees. You can make fuel from plants, too.

[ - ] Her0n 1 point 2 daysMay 29, 2025 13:54:33 ago (+1/-0)

Sadly this isn't going to be anywhere near efficient enough to justify buying it.

[ - ] Scruffy 1 point 2 daysMay 29, 2025 13:54:29 ago (+1/-0)

What are the trees gonna breathe then?

[ - ] lolxd 12 points 2 daysMay 29, 2025 13:33:29 ago (+12/-0)

The fact that it doesn't share electricity consumption vs energy produced means it's absolutely not commercially viable in it's current iteration.

[ - ] Her0n 5 points 2 daysMay 29, 2025 13:54:05 ago (+5/-0)

It isn't, no way that it is yet. We are talking about levels of min/maxing that are unheard of at this time.

This method would be fine if you literally have no gasoline available in any other method, but you better have a ton of water and a reliable, affordable power source.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 1 point 1 dayMay 29, 2025 19:09:19 ago (+1/-0)

A nuclear power plant makes its own backup generator fuel (if you can make diesel this way, or use a gasoline generator). Slowly keep the tank topped off and burn it from the bottom for testing.

[ - ] Her0n 1 point 1 dayMay 29, 2025 20:28:17 ago (+1/-0)

Oh man, now all I need is a nuclear reactor to get gas for my car!

Might as well put a radioactive battery in a car engine as the power source.

[ - ] Master_B 0 points 1 dayMay 30, 2025 01:36:00 ago (+0/-0)

How does it stack against home batteries for solar/wind systems?

[ - ] Her0n 1 point 23 hoursMay 30, 2025 14:29:02 ago (+1/-0)

I don't have solar or wind. I have a generator and tesla collectors. We don't use much power here...

[ - ] dassar 0 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 17:24:11 ago (+0/-0)

Yep, iirc just like nuclear reactors can be used to produce either physical gold or diamond. However thats offset by the cost per unit - outrageous - something like $10 000 - $100 000 worth of electricity cost to create the fusion needed for a small, tiny piece.

[ - ] lolxd 1 point 1 dayMay 30, 2025 00:05:45 ago (+1/-0)

Commercially created diamond is cheaper than average diamond prices already. For industrial applications it's the most common way they're obtained aside from "unusable" decorative diamond supplies.

The gold example still sticks though.

[ - ] 2plus2equals5 0 points 1 dayMay 30, 2025 00:36:26 ago (+0/-0)

Diamond supplies must be huge since they last forever.
Why haven't prices dropped to near zero?

[ - ] SundayMatinee 1 point 1 dayMay 30, 2025 08:33:49 ago (+1/-0)

Because the jewish De Beers company has a near total monopoly on diamonds.

[ - ] lolxd 0 points 1 dayMay 30, 2025 00:44:01 ago (+0/-0)

I assure you diamonds aren't forever if you put them to work instead of being put in a gaudy trinket.

[ - ] Nosferatjew 4 points 2 daysMay 29, 2025 13:20:16 ago (+4/-0)

Ok, neat. How much electricity does it use to produce that 1 gallon/day of gasoline?

[ - ] Her0n 2 points 2 daysMay 29, 2025 13:52:27 ago (+2/-0)

Depends on how much hydrogen is required.

Right now the efficiency of the chemical methods of combining hydrogen and carbon chains is very low.

Adding in the cost of the water you need to electrolyte and the massive heat source you've now created and...

This doesn't look very promising yet.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 2 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 15:49:05 ago (+2/-0)

It doesn't even make gas. It makes methanol.

[ - ] observation1 1 point 1 dayMay 29, 2025 16:42:13 ago (+1/-0)

It makes methanol but then turns that into gas.

So it's inefficient as fuck. The beauty of hydrocarbons (oil) from the ground is mother nature doing most of the work for you.

This device doesn't wait for it to come out of the ground.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 1 point 1 dayMay 30, 2025 09:06:30 ago (+1/-0)

Just another "product" to scam kickstarter idiots with. These inventors are probably low level jews building their scam resumes for a better job down the line.

[ - ] Nosferatjew 0 points 1 dayMay 29, 2025 16:33:19 ago (+0/-0)

Goyslop.

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 2 daysMay 29, 2025 12:38:47 ago (+0/-0)

Ethanol-free gas from the air...wonder what octane it has?
