Registration renewal notice may be used as a reminder, however it is the requirement of the registered operator of a vehicle to ensure their vehicle is registered at all times.

Under the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations, there is no requirement for VicRoads to issue renewal notices.

You do not know how much to pay and you they change payment details every year. They want you to use their card portal, so they make it hard to manage. Further, they used to issue out registration stickers that you stick on your window that reminded you when to register, but they stopped doing it claiming it would save money. It only saved money for them.
