You give normies too much credit. If normies could have been swayed by that kind of argument it would have already been swayed by it. What this does is show them a printed piece of paper from sources that they tend to believe meaning mainstream newspapers. And they don't have to do any math or do any logic all they have to do is obey what the mainstream media that existed before says and obviously that's what they're tuned to do or they would have never believed the hollow hopes to begin with.

You have to remember that you are probably smarter than at least half the population. We cannot always assume that most normal people out there have capabilities that many of the people who have studied this and many other issues have.

I've actually had real life success in breaking through to people using this example, so I wouldn't call it weak. People are primed and programmed to be adverse to the 'numbers dont add up' arguments, so giving examples of them complaining about muh 6mil multiple times for decades prior is a good shock to the system that cant be refuted
