Thinking outsode the box for you...
1. Can you get a job as a corporate night security guard for an office building. The job is literally just to let the fire dept in and insurance. I onew people who did it as a 2nd job and just slept there.
2. Have you talked to the owner / director of your company... Not in a pity me way, but in a "heads up i might be ratty at work for a bit because x y z"... They might own property, and might give you a good deal as a. Its their own money your paying with, and b. Youre more likely to hang around. (This obviously isnt moving state)
3. Go nomad - but that is also not without its stress.
4. Go stig of the dump -
(buy some tarp and cammo netting amd pretend you're in the sas in some weird random bit of scrubland) because fuck it...its summer...will still need a vehicle but can make do with a much smaller one as its only used for transport and secure storage
5. Squat.
I know its more sketchy in us and has a bad rap, but you can squat without being a cunt
6. Look for guardian tenancy (which is basically squatting with permission to stop squaters) - there rents are cheap, but they are relatively unsecure, because its never going to be permanent... Tho you may be there for years...and likely you get loads of space, but its strange cos its corporate.
Had a friend who did it...she lived in the same place for about 5 years, paid fuck all rent...and had an entire half floor of a big office block thing as her "space"
