The people that use Microsoft for just about anything think Microsoft invented all and it doesn't exist if you're not doing it through microsoft.

And if they have a Microsoft email then switching operating systems won't make their servers forward the messages.

Microsoft know that the vast majority of their users will never switch away to anything else. They know that the vast majority of their users are too technically inept to entertain any such idea.

Microsoft can and will continue to push an endless torrent of anti-user "features" and pretty much all Windows users functionally have no choice but to grit their teeth and bear it.

I'm guessing a decade from now the numbers will be around 60/40 if microshit continues current trajectory, with microsoft the majority.

I say within 15-20 years that majority will flip to Linux.
