Stress isn't going to help heal faster or properly. Stay hydrated and eat the right foods. Relax, buddy. Healing properly is better than fighting possible infection. Eat lots of cooling cucumber.

I hate that feeling of something in that socket, it's weird.

Waterpik is your friend.

[ - ] _Obrez 0 points 24 minutesMay 1, 2025 04:10:45 ago (+0/-0)

Nope don't fuck with the socket, shit is meant to heal completely.

[ - ] Love240 0 points 12 minutesMay 1, 2025 04:23:02 ago (+0/-0)

That's what the Waterpik is for. If you get foreign debris in there it washes it out with a gentle jet of water, rather than trying to dig in there with some solid implement.

^^ This guy has no chill. ^^

What's a matter pumpkin? You get some bad veggy oil for VW? Did someone slap a rainbow sticker on the back of your love bus?

Tell Dr. Goathole, he'll make it all better.

How long? It took my kid a...week?

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 0 points 10 hoursApr 30, 2025 17:40:23 ago (+0/-0)*

Still on second week. I think being forced to open my mouth at full capacity near immediately might have ripped something on the bottom hole.

Other catch is the forced diet goes directly against the diet I have to eat for colitis.

I’ve been doing dental shit for 4 months lol now. Just wanna change my fucking job or get more pay already. Can’t even lift to add to my madness. Can’t play the saxophone. Just gotta sit and rot eating stuff about ready to make me puke for maybe 3 or more weeks if the one socket got screwed up. Not even supposed to check it properly.

Can you ask for Zofran?

[ - ] HelenHighwater 1 point 10 hoursApr 30, 2025 17:45:39 ago (+1/-0)

isn't zofran an anti-nausea with some crazy ass side effects?

[ - ] Gowithit 1 point 10 hoursApr 30, 2025 17:51:01 ago (+1/-0)

Ah I see

It can worsen symptoms if you have colitis

Please disregard previous comment.

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 10 hoursApr 30, 2025 18:16:30 ago (+0/-0)

Maybe you had complications because it took me less than two days to heal

[ - ] _Obrez 0 points 27 minutesMay 1, 2025 04:08:00 ago (+0/-0)

Took me 2 weeks but I've had a TMJ ever since so fucker might have cracked my jaw.

[ - ] Trope 1 point 10 hoursApr 30, 2025 18:11:43 ago (+1/-0)

Eat only steak and salt every day and soak up as much sun as you can without burning. Take magnesium citrate or glycinate and a chelated copper supplement. (Or grass fed beef liver assuming it has sufficient copper)

I promise this will help you heal fast.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 0 points 8 hoursApr 30, 2025 20:08:55 ago (+0/-0)

As someone with colitis that actually pays attention to the affects of food.. The right food definitely gives you significant jumps in healing just in single meals. Once I got back to blended meats in the blended potatoes I started getting significant healing jumps just in one day. Thanks!

[ - ] Trope 1 point 7 hoursApr 30, 2025 21:13:09 ago (+1/-0)

Colitis? Definitely experiment with an elimination diet. Don’t want any plant toxins, proteins, or fiber to mess with your large intestines.

This organ is responsible for serotonin production which gives us joy. I get depressed and fatigue the next day if I eat garbage. Guess I’ll have to wait for my birthday to have that pizza and carbs.

[ - ] TheBigGuyFromQueens 0 points 39 minutesMay 1, 2025 03:55:55 ago (+0/-0)

Chelated copper is a fraud. I have that shit and it did nothing for me or my ailments.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 10 hoursApr 30, 2025 18:14:02 ago (+1/-0)

It literally takes two days, mate.
You can just have soups and smoothies for two days

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 10 hoursApr 30, 2025 18:26:02 ago (+0/-0)

I don't recall getting my wisdom teeth removed being all that bad.
Took the day off.
Procedure in morning.
Spent the afternoon playing video games.
Back to work with cotton balls in my mouth the day after.

[ - ] Belfuro 0 points 8 hoursApr 30, 2025 19:37:59 ago (+0/-0)

Its when you get dry sockets you get the real pain.
Abd dry rockets is ftom not using the provided specisl mouth wash.

[ - ] Master_Foo 1 point 8 hoursApr 30, 2025 20:01:19 ago (+1/-0)

You got special mouth wash?

[ - ] Gowithit 0 points 8 hoursApr 30, 2025 20:03:11 ago (+0/-0)

Your Mexican van dentist didn't give you it?

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 8 hoursApr 30, 2025 20:05:22 ago (+0/-0)

Apparently, I didn't need it.
Maybe we should be more suspicious of "Big Mouthwash" trying to sell you "magic mouthwash"?

[ - ] TheNoticing 1 point 9 hoursApr 30, 2025 18:50:31 ago (+1/-0)

Had both on the left removed I think September 2018. There was surprisingly no lingering pain. The surgeon knocked me out and did a fantastic job.

[ - ] AlexanderMorose13 1 point 8 hoursApr 30, 2025 19:44:53 ago (+1/-0)*

At least yours is going to heal.

Back in the late 2000s, early 2010s, I woke up one night with a stabbing pain in my jaw.

I had all of my wisdom teeth removed the year before, but one tooth was in a bad position and they decided to decline removing it. It was in the lower jaw, right side.

I got an X-ray at the ER and it showed the tooth had managed to get into the nerve. They gave me a list of specialists to see as soon as possible and numbed me up enough to give me some relief for a couple of days.

I got the first appointment I could. After a drastic surgery which resulted in me getting choked while I was awake and under anesthesia for a couple of hours, I woke up to a surgeon telling me that I was one of the most difficult surgeries that he had to take.

A few days later, I couldn't move my jaw at all, or feel anything. They said it was normal.

A month later, it was still in the same condition. While I had some of the movement and feeling on the inside of my jaw return, the feeling on the bottom right side of my face never came back.

It's been years since then. I've been through therapy and I've forced myself to have better jaw movement through some days of intense pain and soreness. What did the surgeon say? "You're lucky you can still move and feel everything in your tongue."

I still have to sleep with covers on all of my pillows for the random days when I fall asleep and wake up covered in drool, not even by choice. I have a revolving subscription on Amazon for Anbesol because I'm constantly biting my lip in places that I can't feel and I only know because my lip and gums start to swell. I've had girlfriends break up with me and tell me that I can't kiss them the way that they like, for obvious reasons.

TLDR: Whatever way you feel, you're lucky man. Someone else could have it way worse.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 1 point 8 hoursApr 30, 2025 20:05:44 ago (+1/-0)

Yikes I'm so sorry to hear that. It's definitely about as good as it could be. 95% flawless job / perfect conditions.. Was definitely shocked when they showed me a video there with what all could happen. My main whiney bitch is because of life complications I've been working a job I was supposed to leave 3 months in, 2 years ago. The dental work is the last complication. Wish people informed on the complications that can come from wisdom teeth surgery. Why tf do dentists just let these teeth go bad? (that's how mine ended up needing removed)

[ - ] AlexanderMorose13 0 points 3 hoursMay 1, 2025 01:29:54 ago (+0/-0)

It's more biology than dental.

We're just designed with a bunch of spare parts, so to say. Not a bad thing until it becomes something that hinders our normal course of business.

There's an extremely expensive surgery that gives me a better percentage chance of recovery, but it's risky and could result in more damage to the area if not performed correctly. I've been wagering on whether or not I would get the surgery done when I can afford it. It's not a decision that I'm going to take lightly.

[ - ] NoRefunds 0 points 6 hoursApr 30, 2025 21:38:23 ago (+0/-0)

Why did you even remove them?

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 1 point 6 hoursApr 30, 2025 21:51:07 ago (+1/-0)

Now you're not gonna have no wisdom!

[ - ] Leveraction 1 point 6 hoursApr 30, 2025 22:25:35 ago (+1/-0)

Rinsing with warm salt water several times a day will help speed up the healing. Don't eat or drink anything for at least an hour and make sure to do it the last thing before bedtime.

May I suggest a great book for you to read right at this time in your life?

Please tell me you aren't smoking, vaping drinking through straws or sucking dicks; I know they warned your ass not do those things or else it wouldn't heal.
