Any animal that isn't a pest or nuisance deserves compassion. I've saved a lot of birds because people don't know what to do. Theres always at least one person who says to leave it alone because they don't understand how to help it. A lot of the birds seemed to realize I was helping them. Only a few pecked and bit me.

I've had to do this all my life with deer. I've rescued more than I can remember. I always have wire cutters in my vehicles. I cut a baby deer out of barbed wire and the mommy stodd right beside me stomping her hoof. The baby was crying while I was cutting the fence. I thought she was gonna attack me but she never did. Once I got it out the concerned mother lead it away. I've gotten bucks and does out before.
