His composed shit like this is amazing, but his jazz shit is next level. this tapping excursion (2:48 on if the timestamp doesnt work) is unreal:

Here he is improvising over Sunny. I don't know what to say about this crazy shit:

Loved it

Man, if only he had a pair of tits and just played mediocre, he could have 1 mil subs on YT right now.

There's a tranny on an episode of that same podcast that probably has a trillion more hits than Daniele there. This is by far the best guitar podcast btw, "No Guitar is Safe". I've been going through the old episodes listening to people I've never heard of. Most of these studio guys nobody knows are more interesting than the famous people.

Sunny is a song I dedicated to my friend who died a few years back.

This kind of fretwork is impressive, but I feel like it is overly baroque and kind of had its time. That time was probably from the mid-late 80’s with speed metal.

It reminds me of so many very proficient “lyrically lyrical super scientific” rappers from like 1997-2002 who would craft these verses had a billion rhymes in them, but they were either so dense that they became somewhat predictable or unenjoyable because the rhyming was so gratuitous that it became more important than any message or rhythm and was sometimes nonsensical because that last rhyme just had to be found to satisfy the formula.

Yes, he's crazy. Since he first came out years ago people have accused him of being fake. He's released several undeniable real videos, and people still accuse him of faking it, lol.

I know, ''haters all claim my shit was sped up''

Ive been playing for 30 years I can see hes playing, never thought he was fake once, hes using lots of effects yes but hes playing for real.

He's completely nuts imo, nobody else like him.

A lot of the weirdo sound effects he does are totally natural too. I find it easy to spot the fake shit as well, but totally can see how people fall for it. It's great how there are channels dedicated to calling these homos out now.

Nice find, man! Thanks! Also, this is from 12 years ago, probably doing some really incredible stuff now. Going to explore more of this dude.

He's gotten into symphonic music. It's real compositions that happen to have guitar though, not like that Yngwie orchestra shit.

While Yuengling is quite talented, I never liked any of his stuff. He is kind of a cunt too.

[ - ] Sleazy 2 points 3 monthsMar 15, 2025 12:02:30 ago (+2/-0)

He's got a great tone too

[ - ] mahavishnunj [op] 1 point 3 monthsMar 15, 2025 19:59:10 ago (+1/-0)

First thing I noticed. 90% of jazz guys think they have to have the same pussified solid state chorus reverb tone. The first record of his I heard was all standards. I was expecting a guitar shredder record and it was this crazy asshole blazing through "Koko" at 300bpm with ballsy tone.

[ - ] Sleazy 0 points 3 monthsMar 16, 2025 01:25:32 ago (+0/-0)

I am not sure what you mean by pussified solid state reverb tone. I am not a tone guy, i dont chase any tone, i just try to make the best with whatever sound i got coming out, if the notes are mine and I hit them right, to me, the tone is irrelevant, as long as I hit the notes and made it musical, and it makes me dance, I am a happy man. I was playing some punk rock song with my friend Chris and my drummer friend here just the other night, and i found myself to be jumping up and down with the beat as I was playing, I didnt even realize I was jumping up and down until I noticed, like fuck yeah, this is fucking great!

Think Pat Metheny's tone. He's an amazing badass, but almost every jazz player since then thinks they have to emulate his tone. There's a small group of Holdsworth clones, and an even smaller group of traditional guys with Wes/Benson tone, but mostly it's Metheny.

[ - ] Anus_Expander 1 point 3 monthsMar 15, 2025 11:38:51 ago (+1/-0)

As if he lerned everything by Holdsworth, John5, and Eric Johnson. Almost certainly on the sperg spectrum.

You have to be. Everytime I get flirty with jazz I inevitably get overwhelmed and quit again. That's happened about 300 times.

That guy’s cool.
