I think everything was happening together. And yes, obviously nobody wanted to help him. They were just awaiting for him to die for good.

Nah I mean there was no clear pattern but it was first the engineers who were the conter revolutionary pests, then it was the prists then the Kulaks, foreigners then the doctors.
