Apparently he wakes up and eats and goes back to sleep, thats about the same as my other friend who fell down the stairs. I actually have to work at the very hospital Verle is in, next wednesday.

That's a weird coincidence. LOL

Also, it will soon be 6 years and my M6's warranty is ending. BMW will themselves sell me a 4 year extension.

It's not some fake extended warranty that's a rip off. It's a solid warranty backed by BMW.

But, she's up to about 30k miles and I'm itching for a new 'daily' driver. I mean, it's not daily but it's the car that gets the most miles. My plow truck gets a similar number of miles but is newer. That's a 2021 model.

So...

I'm faced with a choice...

I know this may not make sense to you, but I've been pondering this choice for a month, maybe longer.

Do I get the extended warranty and drive the shit out of the M6? I mean, I have one with about 30 miles on it sitting in my collection, though it's a lovely shade of brown while the one I drive is a nice dark blue.

Do I find a new daily driver? That's exciting to me. I love car shopping! I love configuring cars to find the absolute best for the purpose I'll use it.

I really don't have many requirements, but it has to seat four people comfortably. I do like the idea of a 4 door car that beats many so-called sport cars.

Maybe you can check on Verle when you're there on Wednesday. LOL Maybe he'll be awake?

Sleeping and eating sounds like the Verle you've described. I'm surprised he hasn't wandered off so that he can get drunk and high.

Also, given that he's been in the hospital for this long, he's going to have a lot of money (for him) when he gets out. Those disability checks have been stacking up.

He's gonna party pretty hard with that money. Make sure he doesn't take it all out of the ATM at once, so he doesn't get his shit stolen like he often does.

We do plan on stopping in by Verle when we are working there, and hoping that we can catch him awake.

You know, 30 thousand miles really is not that many miles on a car, that's practically new still. I would think that your M6 would be an extremely reliable vehicle for another 30 thousand miles at the very least.

I would just keep using it like you do, it fits all your needs, and you do enjoy to drive it, I think. You still could shop for another car for your collection.

That's just my thinking on it, especially with the extension on the warranty, but you might be sick of it. I dont know.

Properly maintained, the M6 will last many more miles. As you know, I'm keen on ensuring it is maintained.

But, I've had it for a while as my daily. I really enjoy it. At the same time, it has been six years, so something new will be appreciated and enjoyed. Something new will be quite an experience.

It is pretty sexy. I can get an M5 with four doors, however.

I like four doors on my daily driver. It's just easier for carrying people. Usually, it's just the missus and I - or even just me. But, sometimes I like to have more than two of us in the car. Four doors makes that easier.

Well my son and I got to see Verle today. He seemed to be all right, he just can't walk very far, but that's pretty normal for him. He says he is just waiting for the doctor to say he can go home, he just has to walk for the doctor and prove that he can make it to the toilet and back with a walker. That should be within reach, I hope.
