You got to, hundreds of years if weathering wears it down

If they keep allowing niggers of various types to flood their country they'll tear that place down brick by brick in a couple generations. I bet this white stone mason only has 2 kids from 2 seperate divorces.

Netflix adaptiation - disabled negress with vitiligo or some shit, with a white-man-bad oppression backstory. Written by a jew of course.

Lived in France for a while.
Had a friend that was going to school for this skill. Obviously it is still taught and it is well paid.

How is all the art decided? does the architect design the statues or is the space left empty in planning for the artist to decide?

better to restore them than to sell them to private individuals so that they can turn them into a billiard palace and the like, as is done here with churches

Amazing!

Architecture is where engineering meets art.

Q: but why?

A: because we can. Glory to God!

Using water to slowly expand wooden wedges, never seen this before. Next level for sure.

That looked like molten metal into a mold

[ - ] x0x7 2 points 2 monthsFeb 25, 2025 22:49:38 ago (+2/-0)

It looks like there is some rebar there. The wood is centering it in the hole. Maybe lead is just faster than cement. Or maybe the cement expansion would crack his stone? It almost looks like he put fault lines in it. I'm sure he has a reason but maybe the trade off makes it so it would crack along them. IDK, he knows what he's doing and we can only guess at shit.

They were pouring molten metal down into the stone to hold it together with the course below it. The clay was a funnel, and the rebar was used to keep a gap for the liquid Metal. They didn’t use mortar, they used metal to keep the stone together in some parts. They don’t do anything to crack the stone at that point.

Oh right, it's a bowtie. Had to watch again to see it.

That’s amazing, a lost art. The book Pillars of the Earth is about a guy that builds cathedrals, it’s a great one.

That's the most incredible skill I've ever seen.
