I’m not even old yet. I can feel it. Your dumbass brain is like hey this is fun why don’t we make this shit run at x10 oh this sucks? Let’s do .2 speed. Then your friend dies in a fire and you wanna call them but you can’t. That’s life I guess. Why? Why is nature so fucking gay all

I'm old ,in shape for an old guy,better than most 40yr olds anyway, don't like being poor but I'm used to it . Doing OK now but that really don't mean shit. One good thing, you genuinely start to not give a fuck.

Mortality is no longer an abstract concept, and that does bring a bit of clarity

Mortality.
You know death is coming for you, not like when you're in your20sor 30's where you know you will die one day ,but it's probably a long way off. You know death is stalking you.

Makes things clearer. I have less tolerance for bullshit. I value time much more. I think about what kind of death I would like to have. I don't have regrets,but I'm honest with myself, and see where I fucked up at points in my life.

In some ways I'm more charitable with people, I understand everyone is just a fallible, imperfect human being ,like myself,but I am more apt to be honest with those I care about if I see them engaging in destructive or bad behavior.

I value things like sun rises, raptors soaring, the stars and moon on a clear night more than money or gadgets.
I realize how small I am and how great God is.
I live each day thankful for God letting me see his beautiful creation one more time !

My dear Mother used to say "dying is easy, it's getting there that's the hard part". When you start losing your health and abilities to do life, yea that completely sucks. I'm 64. I miss my youthful abilities but I love having lots of experience in life that I use for day to day fuckery. I find old age and experience especially valuable in relationships. I love having good friends and also sending my future enemies down in flames before we even get started.

Being old is awesome. You can barely remember why you hate everyone so much and most of the people that pissed you off are already dead so you just let things go, just like how you just let go of your bowels and go full incontinent. It's very liberating to shit yourself in public.

Hit me up with sweet Boomer privilege, Chevy Station Wagons with the way in the back seats. Gas was crazy high at 68 cents a gallon , and filling that Station wagon with groceries damn near 80 dollars.

I slaved 2 summers to buy that 69 Camaro with the 327 4barrel , and it needed some work.
