They eat the bugs

These are at my local market for $60/lb. If that's too spendy, they sometimes have your basic dead crickets for only $30/lb.

Over at the butcher counter are all the cuts of meat, ranging from $6.99 for Aguayon (top sirloin), up to $14 for nicer cuts. There are apparently people who pay up to 8 or 9 times more for bugs than beef, and then probably eat them.

I smelled the dead crickets one time. They smelled exactly like you'd expect a container of dead crickets to smell.đŸ¤®

They eat "mudbugs" in Louisiana.

I'm assuming that refers to a type of critter that's tasty, and they only eat the 'meat'.

Crawfish are known by many names, and are called everything from mudbugs in the Mississippi Delta to crawdads in Oklahoma to yabbies in Australia—and of course, crayfish, a name never to be uttered in Louisiana. In North America, the largest diversity of species occurs in the southeastern United States.

Had to know. Yes, crayfish are meaty and delicious, and you don't eat the shell.

@dulcima We need some videos of wild yabbies. (or wild videos of yabbies)
