Use the iron in the closet to reheat your pizza. It's the perfect shape and size, Place the iron securely on top of your shoe, plug it in and set to high. Nice crispy crust, cheese not so melty, but whatever ya cooked it on the iron lol. Yes, I just did this.

in fact i think thats probably the only use id get out of an iron anywhere. if ya hang your shirts up somewhere as soon as they come out of the washer/dryer ya dont need the damn thing anyway.

The wonder and glory of microwaving leftover pizza is the mixture of hot and not so hot zones littered across the cheese.

By this point, the crust has softened so that the leftover pizza is consumed almost like air.

Pizza: So delicious but never satiating. No one can feel satiety but rather must stop eating when the belly cannot fit any more and the burps are of pizza.

i dont know why people like reheated pizza i cant stand it never could.

problem is i love pizza but my guts hate the shit and i always regret it.

cant remember who posted something here the other day but im wondering if there is merit to it about most pizza shops mixing and cutting pizza dough before its settled, because the shit does have a ton of active yeast in it. and even making this comment suddenly an untrustworthy fart is brewing in sympathy.

Cooking the dough is going to kill the active yeast anyways. The real advantage to a longer ferment is flavor.

Properly cooked dough is not going to be full of active yeast. Yeast isn't surviving a 400 degree internal temperature, it's not trichinosis ffs.

but the dough still isnt right to begin with, thats the issue not whether its toasty and the rest of the shit is cooked. the cooking process has got fuck all to do with yeast, and im weirded out by how fucking angry rando's are getting over it. if the shit hasnt done its thing, instead of having no yeast and properly rested dough, youve got shit dough with non fermented yeast all through it because ya didnt prepare it properly. its pretty basic. if you want to do it another way and not actually have to wait as long, use fuckin beer instead of water. (camping damper, same thing but thicker)

its like the pizza version of the 'the day daylight savings destroyed the world' bullshit saga.

I make sourdough basically every day, or every other day, and I only ferment it for about 8 hours. Could I ferment it longer? Sure. But it's plenty of time to rise up and consume most of those simple sugars.

I'm also not above using quick-rise baker's yeast when I want to make pizza for dinner and it's already 2pm. I'm really not sure I can agree with the idea that you have to ferment your dough for 3+ days to get any health benefits.

I think the real problem with modern wheat products is all the pesticides and additives and industrial processing byproducts (eg. contamination from lubricants and bleaching and lord knows what else).

I definitely agree with you about how weird the whole conversation has become. It's similar to the global warming debate while everyone is ignoring actual toxic shit we are dumping everywhere.

It has been a little while, but I once saw a post that recommended using sourdough discard for pizza crust. It looked like a crunchy, thin crust pizza, but the OP claimed it was excellent.
