Excellent shooting under pressure.

Not an easy shot to make under chill conditions.

Now imagine knowing you have just a few seconds to make a shot like that or you get blown apart.

Here are more related examples:

Lessons learned:

Keep situational awareness.

If you see a drone: stay calm, take accurate shots, keep shooting until you take it out.

Never give up.

I've always questioned the burst fire function that some rifles use- there are a few AK models that are in use (like the one in the video) which have single shot, two-round-burst, and full-auto firing modes.

I suspect the burst fire feature is meant for inexperienced or hastily trained soldiers; when making contact with the enemy, it's very common for a conscript to slap his selector switch to full-auto and start spraying bullets in an ineffective manner. This leads to them quickly running out of ammunition. They aren't disciplined enough to fire short, controlled, accurate bursts of 2-5 rounds while under pressure; I believe the burst fire mode mitigates this a little bit.

Most of the time, rifles are used with semiautomatic. Professional soldiers around the world tend to fight this way, because they're more likely to hit their target and are more efficient with the ammunition they carry.

All of that said, the two-shot burst seemed very useful in taking out a drone. If the rifleman is skilled, he'll probably be able to keep on target with both rounds, knowing how to compensate for recoil.

What do you think of burst fire? Pointless?

2nd clip - if it were an armed kamikaze drone that came in at attack speed, they would all be toast.
Thankfully for those Rus guys not to be that night.
