He absolutely did not. His cartoon format was the single panel gag-a-day, and it was used by some of the best cartoonists in the field for decades before Larson began to create his cartoons. George Booth and Charles Addams are two of the most prominent, but as far as "memes" go in the way the jewish writer of the article means, that goes back decades ever further. (((Klein))) obviously has no knowledge of the history of cartooning and doesn't know what she's talking about.
well known here. semi-cancelled but also semi-folded. he had a daily cartoon in pretty much every major newspaper here at some point. he was quite similar to larson, youd usually find leunig somewhere close to 'far side' depending on the newspaper.
