There is/was a huge problem in Singapore with curry nigger and Russian merchant vessel crews jumping ship and trying to to stay in Singapore.

It's very clean and orderly, it's also a very easy place to get in trouble in. But overall I have always enjoyed my time in Singapore. It's expensive but the food is really good and the people are very polite and friendly.

I like the Japanese but Tokyo is just kind of too much for me these days. When I was younger I enjoyed it immensely. I prefer Yokohama to Tokyo these days.

I'm from the South so humidity doesn't bother me to much. You are right on the on how rigid Singapore is, it's basically a benevolent dictatorship.

I've never been to Odaiba, it sounds pretty interesting.
