I started with "Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home: And Other Unexplained Powers of Animals". Fascinating book. His description of what he calls morphic resonance is incredibly plausible, and he cites a great deal of evidence in support of it. "The Science Delusion", written in response to "The God Delusion", is very good, but kind of dry.
