my eyes are blue, but under certain lighting conditions, they become a different shade and appear to change color.

The Longinus Effect - Talking about spontaneous eye changes, recently one afternoon I got off of the computer and walked outside to check the mailbox, the instant I opened the door there was something different .. I could not work out what it was I thought maybe the lighting, I got as far as the letter box and realized that although I was not wearing the glasses I usually have on outside I had perfect vision for the first and only time in about 35 yrs .. the effect only lasted for about ten minutes after which things returned to normal.
