And that's the libtard logic that caused NYC to have the most restrictive firearm laws in the universe. Guns (at least some types of guns) are not technically illegal. They cant have certain extensions, cant use standard mags, certain calibers are banned, they cant have muzzle brakes, flash supressors, binary triggers, big scary black extensions, etc. FFS, some guns dont even come with the mags that would make them NYC compliant since those mags were never created, blanket banning all types of guns in the process. But hey, at least you can "legally" buy a gun. But if you're an illegal fuck with a sawed off automatic SBR, than you're in the clear.

1. The license takes anywhere from 18 months to 2 YEARS to get. That's just a grovelling ritual where the state probes your entire life. The license is also contigent on your landlord and friends signing off on you getting a gun through affidavits. Essentially from what i can tell, its a poverty tax since anyone who rents is immediately disqualified.

2. Every ammo purchase comes with its own background check, and the check is run by state police so they can keep track of what you buy. It'd not NICS based, and the state police has access to everything you have ever purchased in perpetuity.

3. SAFE act is bullshit and always has been. It blatantly violates your 4th amendment right. What makes NYC retarded is one can get a conceal carry permit without a gun thanks to the way BRUEN decision and SC turned out. The gun is tied to the CC, but not the other way. Imagine getting a CC permit and not being legally allowed to carry a gun, that's how ass backward the rules are.

4. This was removed after the constitutional ruling about conceal carry. However they use the European model from what I remember where you can only carry to and from designated range areas, with reasonable accommodations for deviation.

At best, one rents permission from the state or city to pretend to own a gun. And if you EVER use the gun for anything like self defense, you are now immediately disqualified from every owning a firearm.

It's hard to tell exactly what model it is from the video, but it looks like a bog standard, duty-sized, polymer-framed, striker-fired pistol, fitted with threaded barrel and suppressor. Looks kinda boxy and Glockish, maybe a 17 or 47.
