Sadly it's still way better than what 99% of people are having for breakfast. We can't all make our own smoked pork products from hogs raised on the homestead - but it doesn't hurt to try and buy some local decent food direct from a farmer.

My grocery store has sourdough bread in its bakery section which only has about 7 ingredients. It's the only bread I go for, other than sprouted grains bread.
Definitely worthwhile. I make sourdough myself and it has exactly three ingredients: flour, water, salt. I also make the starter (obviously, but maybe not to some) and it's just flour and water, fermented on the counter in a glass jar.
If you haven't tried making it, I would suggest it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it!
Self-rising flour just has some baking powder added to it already. A real sourdough uses a "starter" which is literally flour mixed with water that you let go sour and bubbly in a jar with a lid on it. It's the "old fashioned" way to make bread before commercial yeasts and baking powder became available.
If they cooked your food with their regular process using "butter" the butter would burn to shit. They used margarine, bro.
In over thirty years as a chef de cuisine I never saw a restaurant that lived up to my quality standards, outside of private clubs. Your average restaurant is serving you shit, and has been for decades.
I'm sure they are nice people. But in order to make money in the industry these days people are cutting all manner of corners, not giving away free butter.
Breakfast breaks your fast. BREAK. FAST. Don't break your fast until you absolutely have to because after the 16 hour fasting point great things are happening within your body.
This. Unless you're a kid, diabetic or athlete, you'll likely benefit more from not eating breakfast (and scorning the '3 meals a day' old chestnut in general).
Nah. Listen to your body and eat when you are hungry. For a lot of people that might not be the morning. I forced myself to eat breakfast for years because I listened to all the quacks and it did nothing but make me ravenous by 10am.
Not saying you're wrong, but the "ravenous by 10am" is a result of eating carbs/sugar for breakfast instead of fat. Throw the cereals in the garbage and have a plate of bacon and eggs fried in butter, and you'll notice you don't get the spike and crash at lunch time. FWIW it may be worth trying again. But I do agree, we all have our own rhythm to the day and breakfast may just not be your thing. Usually you also need to do the actual fasting part too (eg. Don't eat after 6pm) to make the whole process work properly.
There is truth to this about eating fats but I’m in a system now that works for me. I typically do one meal a day (dinner) and do a 36 hour fast once a week. I’ve been doing this for 5 years and have never felt better.
Impressive. I do the opposite though, lol. Many small meals through the day. This avoids me getting overly full and I can adjust my calories on the fly as the day progresses. If I'm lifting heavy shit all day I'll eat a bit more, or less if I'm just building things at my work bench.
