All the borrows were very different when he was raised there.

"Boroughs"

As in: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boroughs_of_New_York_City

Your Incoming 47th President is From Queens

And AH was from Austria, but somehow he still managed to transcend that minor setback.

It is also “Boro” as in The Tri-Boro Bridge and Queensboro Community College.

“Boro” as in The Tri-Boro Bridge and Queensboro Community College.

But only when expressed and/or spelled that way as part of another word, huh?

And never anywhere else as just, "boro", as a single word in and of itself, huh?

I realize English can be difficult, especially for people raised in a sub-standard, nearly non-existent, educational environment, but trust me on this, the use of the word "borough" has existed in The English language since the "Five Boroughs of the Danelaw" established in the 870's.

The ONLY other mention of any alternate spelling was "burhs" or "burg" which were Old English developments of the Proto-Germanic word reconstructed as burg-s, cognate with the verb berg-an[1] ("to shut in for protection").

But you couldn't have known that, right? It's not your fault. I don't blame you. It's the schools there.

And, by the way, one of the examples you provided?

It's "Queensborough Community College"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queensborough_Community_College

Let it go.

Man, is he dumb.

On a certain level, he's actually an impressive example, almost platonic ideal, of a product of that environment. I would expect nothing less.

When someone has not arrived at their conclusion by logic or rational thought, logic and rational thought will be of no use whatsoever to convince them otherwise.

"Often wrong, but never, EVER, uncertain."

For such, nothing that comes from west of the Hudson river (or east of the Atlantic Ocean) has any value to him and therefore isn't worth knowing.

How are you going to tell me I’m wrong?

I FUCKING LIVE HERE. I was BORN here.

“Boro” has always been an acceptable spelling:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queensboro_Plaza_station

[ - ] BulletStopper 2 points 6 monthsNov 8, 2024 00:40:26 ago (+2/-0)*

I just did.

I FUCKING LIVE HERE. I was BORN here.

And you are STILL wrong. The two are not mutually exclusive.

“Boro” has always been an acceptable spelling:

No, it's not. Except by lazy ignorant niggers. Are you, perchance, an lazy ignorant nigger?

Only as a part of another word. Not as a separate and distinct word.

In the English language, since 870AD.

So, all of the signs around the city that use the word Boro are wrong, then?

Fuck outta here. Troll someone else, dickhead.

[ - ] BulletStopper 2 points 6 monthsNov 8, 2024 00:52:26 ago (+2/-0)*

Not my fault that your public works employees have forgotten how to properly spell "borough".

That extra "-ugh" was just too much for them.

Not surprising really, when you think about it.

Calling someone names doesn't negate the truth. Except maybe in grade school. Second grade must have been hard.

By all means continue through life in ignorance with my blessing.

But no one who lives in NYC warehouses is a valid human being. What those mammals think or believe is completely irrelevant.

…and yet here you are in my thread trying to engage ME. Fuck outta here.

It's your choice to remain there.
