I realize English can be difficult, especially for people raised in a sub-standard, nearly non-existent, educational environment, but trust me on this, the use of the word "borough" has existed in The English language since the "Five Boroughs of the Danelaw" established in the 870's.

The ONLY other mention of any alternate spelling was "burhs" or "burg" which were Old English developments of the Proto-Germanic word reconstructed as burg-s, cognate with the verb berg-an[1] ("to shut in for protection").
