Linemen come from all neighboring states when something like this happens. They get a lot of overtime for it and take turns doing it because it's lucrative. My brother-in-law is a lineman, he's been all over the place, even foreign countries will hire them to put stuff in sometimes.

Right, who are these people? I assume they've been contracted by FEMA; FEMA doesn't have departments of specialized workers that they train and employ themselves. They simply direct resources into their own bank accounts and into illegals' hands.

I don't know. The PR government hid and threw away a bunch of supplies that were sent there then said that Trump never sent them anything. The supplies were found in the garbage unopened.

IIRC they hired a specialty firm to help get power back up in PR, the company started ramping up to get out there and then FEMA did a rug pull, and as a result power was out for months.

They have left their jobs and are paying for hotels etc. out of pocket. They can't work for free indefinitely for system that's purposely fucking them when they have bills to pay.
