A civil liberties organization has filed a federal lawsuit in Virginia arguing that widespread surveillance enabled by Flock, a company that sells networks of automated license plate readers, is unconstitutional under the Fourth Amendment.
This is what it looks like, and here is how you disable its functions against you.
Multi flash strobe light over the plates of your vehicle, or if you want to be proactive you can use an IR laser into the sensor for 2 minutes.
Cops often have 3 maybe more admin who are allowed to update hit notifications within each department.
They WILL use it against citizens as well. They claim it is for amber alerts, shot spotter, blah blah give up your freedom for security so that cops can do anything but cop shit as citizens interpet their duty.
The 10 cameras in my town cost 30k a year to maintain and be allowed to use, but I promise that other agencies have access to it.
You can also paintball the solar panel, or the sensor face dome.
Worked for a place that told us they allow these types of people in their parking lot to scan for repos and other shit. The guy was actually explaining it like it was cool that they had bumper cams and would scan all the plates in the lot.
I waiting until the 6 weeks of paid training was over and no call no showed on their asses. It was a shit job anyway, so only gain of free payroll on my end.
