cooking tip: eat hearts.

cow, pig, and chicken hearts are totally free to buy on the lowest level and maybe you've hunted something. try heart meat though, it's the best fucking meat in the entire body. you won't regret it

its literally a pure muscle like velvet with not an ounce of fat on it.

Deer heart is the least gamey and is the part that's most like beef.

I've had chicken hearts. They are pretty tasty. There's something about eating the heart of an animal that just kinda throws me for a mental loop though. Like, I had a strange high immediately after. Almost as if I was doing something I shouldn't be doing. Probably wouldn't do it again unless I was starving.

Fat IS flavor. Fat less meat is tough meat. Thats why low marbled meats are cheaper and used for braising and stews, because they require liquid infusion and time to soften.

Heart meat IS excellent but it is VERY easy to fuck it up and make it a rubber ball chewy mess.

Fat is good for you, but heart meat is tasty and rich in nutrients.

A lot of human hearts are pretty fatty these days.
