Anyone with the last name savage that I've dug into has ended up being jew with a name change. It's so normal, that you might as well assume the last name "savage" is one of the run of the mill jew names.

Savage is a very common anglicized name for the Jewish to use. Honestly, it's so popular that you're hard pressed to find someone who isn't Jewish using it.
