He’s a regular customer and I know enough about him from past convos that he is an Iraq vet, EOD guy. Came home with some debilitating injuries that he’s on meds for and can’t quite work, but he does some side things. He takes care of a guys landscaping and maintenance at a rental property or two and comes to us for supplies.

He seems to be stable, mentally and physically to me, but he wears a Covid mask all the time, never seen him without one on. Typical military guy, covered in tattoos, White dude, seems like an ok guy.
Today he comes in and I hand him an invitation flyer for an event we have coming up. He states he can’t make it because he has tickets to a comedy show in Sacramento. I ask him, ‘oh, who you going to see’? He names some name and I gave him the ‘Idk who that is' look.

He procedes to tell me the name and seeing that I don’t know who he is talking about, he tells me it’s the (whatever) drag Queen comedy guy.

Fuck me for asking.
Military bomb guy.

Goes to drag shows.
