Used batteries aren't very popular? Weird.

The idea that you can buy a used EV that was $60,000 new for half its value is appealing until you calculate in the cost of replacing the battery pack. You could end up spending close to its new value once it’s said and done. The only way I would get a used EV is if someone gave it to me because they didn’t want to spend $17,000 to $20,000 on a new battery pack.

Yup. For a while some companies were putting low prices on replacement battery packs to show that the car will still have value in the future. That behavior seems to have declined.

The sad thing is that Electric cars were designed to fail through the incompetence of Big Business & Government! The other side of that coin, is that those entities built those electric cars under the "Planned Obsolescence" model!

Niggers are going to buy them up faster than used BMWs.

They're gonna wrap them around telephone poles with the on demand torque so hard it's probably gonna burn down some cities. I cant wait.

Hopefully people catch it on video!

[ - ] Portmanure 3 points 9 monthsSep 17, 2024 15:31:37 ago (+3/-0)

Or tow a generator!

[ - ] Freespeechplease 0 points 9 monthsSep 17, 2024 15:58:53 ago (+1/-1)

I'll buy one only because it's cool in some way. Not because it's saving the planet(which it isn't). It's a Coal fired car anyway for most people who do buy one don't have solar panels that would even be capable of charging it somehow overnight.

So your all about "impressing" others?
Newsflash ...no one gives a shit except you.

[ - ] Freespeechplease 1 point 9 monthsSep 17, 2024 17:50:34 ago (+1/-0)

Fuck no, I drive 2 beaters from 2006 and 2009 with over 200k on each of em. Fuck those niggers that are just gonna crash into it in the city area, I impress no one

Well, the $60,000 CDN SUV I leased will only be worth $28,000 when I purchase it, so it's not that much better.

[ - ] Lurkathon9000 1 point 9 monthsSep 17, 2024 21:50:08 ago (+1/-0)

Should have bought a Toyota/Lexus.

[ - ] rabidR04CH 1 point 9 monthsSep 18, 2024 14:36:58 ago (+1/-0)

Yep, that's exactly what I wanted but my wife thinks either brand is ugly. That's the constant problem of buying a car you'll share with your wife: she will gladly sacrifice reliability for "pretty."

[ - ] Lurkathon9000 0 points 9 monthsSep 18, 2024 20:06:58 ago (+0/-0)*

But she likes the look's of her faggot fuck hyundai. You're impotent if you let your wife make the big household decisions. Grow some fucking balls.

[ - ] KyleIsThisTall 0 points 9 monthsSep 18, 2024 20:09:52 ago (+0/-0)

Well guys do the same thing for females

[ - ] rabidR04CH 0 points 9 monthsSep 19, 2024 17:25:03 ago (+0/-0)

Not really. If my wife insists on buying some total piece of garbage like a Jeep, I'd let her. However, I would take some time to remind her that American cars are by far the worst in terms of reliability with Chrystler being at the absolute bottom.

Many solutions, lazy jews refusing to compete or allow goy competition.

GM could crush tesla by using their bought and hidden hydrogen power patents to make warthogs. run a dual generator set up with batteries powering independent electric motors per wheel.

Water in, batteries kickstart the hydrogen extraction process in a hydrogen generator, that hydrogen is fed into a hydrogen powered generator which powers the batteries that run the electric motors. And you can make a diesel generator version too, and when thorium gets there you could convert it with relative ease.

Vehicles that need to be thrown away after six years? So environmentally friendly.

Looking forward to a Gen 1 Cybertruck in 2044.
