Neri is doing his best to spread AIDS everywhere there. He is his own biological warfare upon the nation.

Especially as he's never set a single foot here in his life.

True story from 1983.
I'm on my motorcycle on I-10 in New Mexico.

I'm going 100 mph and a tarantula hawk hit me in the neck.

I immediately slow down while trying to check for blood.
Let's just say it hurt.
A lot.

I determined that I wasn't bleeding and got moving.

About 90 minutes later I pulled into the Holiday Inn El Paso.

I walked into the lobby and women literally swooned. Men were asking me if they should call an ambulance?

I had the biggest red looking like it was about to burst boil on my neck. About half the size of a baseball

I told them that I was fine and checked in and put some ice on it.

I’m allergic. It would have maybe killed me. Whenever I see a bee, a wasp or a hornet, I freak the fuck out.

I have a buddy who gets freaked out about bees and once in a while I start pointing at him and say "BeeeeeeeEEee! and he starts running around going crazy and I get my laugh.

I put 2 artificial dragonflies that I got on amazon in my carport. They're about 5 " long and 6" wide.
I havent seen one wasp or mosquito since I put them there!

I found out two years ago I'm definitely not allergic to wasps in about the worst way possible.

Dismantling scaffolding about two stories up, go to remove a 6 FT 'standard', upright steel tube between levels. Heavy, awkward takes a bit of practice to get right every time, will destroy something if you get it wrong.

I get my hands around it at the bottom, as you do that you gotta look at the top of it, lift it directly up, shuffle back and slide it to the deck (or look over the side, and if no one there and muddy, flip it over and spear it as hard as you can into the mud, they're a pain in the arse for labourers to pull out)

Anyhow I go hands on, take the weight, look straight up, and bang motherfuckin wasp gets me right in the middle of the back of the neck.

An inch higher of lift on that standard it was going through a half built wall or on someone's head two floors down. Instead the worst was a sting on my neck and a glove jammed between bits of heavy metal.

I'll have you know I'm using your stories to pick up chicks at the local gas and guzzle.

I really should write a book. Been a lotta places, seen a lotta stuff. walked on the wild side for too long. BTW I still ride a motorcycle.

Think about how much you have forgotten at this point. I think about that sometimes and I am certain that it greatly overshadows the amount we actually remember.

I remember the weird, dangerous, eventful things
Odd things every few days.

More than Queens? You guys got some creepy wildlife too.

Same for all countries, with only a few low population and low tech countries excepted.

[ - ] Rob3122 1 point 7 monthsSep 13, 2024 20:04:18 ago (+2/-1)

Much more dangerous animals in Queens, NY

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 1 point 7 monthsSep 14, 2024 02:32:25 ago (+1/-0)

I agree. For all sorts of reasons. And I live here.

If I were to launch an Orion-drive spacecraft, Australia would be my second choice of launchpads.

Haha how vicpol gonna dick you for speeding if you're going quicker than the speed camera can see

Looks like AI. Not that there aren't disturbingly large insects and spiders in Australia, there absolutely are, it's just that this pictire looks like it's AI generated. It has that AI texture to it.

HOES SAY MY DICK LIKE AI

I'm not convinced it's real. We definitely have weird shit here but this would have done the rounds.

That being said that massive fucking boa going from house guttering to tree in qld I saw here before the news and that was real.

[ - ] carnold03 0 points 7 monthsSep 14, 2024 13:21:14 ago (+0/-0)

Why? There are plenty of spider wasps. America's got their own native Hawk Wasp's that prey on Tarantulas and they're scary awesome.

[ - ] dulcima 0 points 7 monthsSep 15, 2024 07:00:42 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah, huntsmen like going into houses. Get amongst the towels, lurk in the corner of the shower cubicle.

They're a non-venomous spider of varying sizes - can get some really big ones that look scary (harmless as they are).

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 7 monthsSep 16, 2024 04:43:48 ago (+0/-0)

I'm going to capture one and send it to Queens, NY, USA.
