Take Harley Davidson, for instance, since it was fairly recent. The initiatives that HD got rid of actually stopped back in April, months before anyone was even talking about it. And even in their "apology", they admit that they haven't stopped the ESG/DEI/whatever bullshit; only very specific parts of it that weren't working for them internally.

People just can't fucking read anymore evidently. These companies cop to the lesser charge in order to take heat off of their still existing, more consequential actions until the mob finds something else to bitch about.
