E: "Not really. Not without just burning off the pollution by getting the exhaust really hot... which also means you have to burn more fuel just to achieve that. But..."
C: "Great! Just do that then!"
E: "But if the goal is to reduce pollution of the combustion products..."
C: "Yes, with the filter, we've covered that already. Let's require it by law!"
E: "I thought the EPA couldn't write laws..."
C: "Oh there you go again with this 'can't' and 'couldn't' stuff."
this corporate boardroom is what is known as a, “whale,” to contractors. they want red balloons inflated? cool. here’s a quote for $15,000.00 per balloon. you want a picture of a red cat with invisible ink? cool, that will be $250,000.00 and we’ll need half up front and no contract language that your femtard and pill popper boardroom has to approve of the end result.
A semi-funny. My CEO gives ridiculous charges for things he doesn't want us to do. He threw out an absurd price for something, and the client said, "Okay, fine." That is what I am busy working on right now.

When this vid was making the rounds years (15?) ago -- it didn't even register with me that someone had made the conscious choice to make the expert an Asian. At that point he could have been any ethnicity or gender because we weren't yet tuned to focus on those points.
Rather the video was 100% about the inherent frustration of having to deal with non-experts from the POV of knowledge and experience and in a corporate setting.
As a long time sys admin the video hit a bunch of core sore spots for me despite the patently ridiculous dialogue. Years of being in similar situations -- which were too often solved by someone over my head deciding to hire a consultant(s) at an exorbitant rate and who in the end did nothing but muddy the waters -- made the obvious, absurdist humor just that much more pointed.
Fast forward to me watching the video today. The fact that the 'expert' was Asian was nbr 1 for me. And the painfully ditzy females a close 2nd.
