how do you get pepper spray smell out of a bag. accidentally sprayed some months ago and despite washing it the smell won't come out

The smell is even on my books with a orange stain

charlies soap is pretty good at taking out any smells. along with some rockin' green all the evidence should be easily cleaned off.

That stuff is oily, try using dishwashing soap.

Try a 50:50 mix of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle.
We have had fair to good results with bags, purses, etc.
Never had to deal with pepper spray, tho. Good luck!

You need a magical ingredient that they took out of laundry detergent a while back... Phosphoric acid... Supposedly it's super bad for the environment, but super safe to drink.

Put your spicy bag in the wash with a tide pod and pour a can of Sprite in with it... The phosphoric acid should dissolve the oleo resin(capsaicin oil) and let it flow away.

If tomato juice is supposed to work to take out skunk smell, maybe it will work on pepper spray.
