Back in the 80s my school would serve the same meal every month: PacMan pizza - which was a small personal pizza with a slice mmremoved for the mouth and one single pepperoni slice for an eye - along with pineapple chunks and a chocolate chip cookie as well as some green beans. Many of the students put the pinepple and crumbled up cookie on the pizza. Strangely good.

I like ham, pineapple, onion and extra sauce. I don't get the whole pineapple thing. If anybody had real italian pizza they would find it disguesing.

Undoubtedly, from the fridge, cold or heated, Canadian Bacon and Pineapple is the best breakfast pizza.

I used to be against it because of the culture. But it as my wife's favorite so I am coming around. The trick is they pineapple pieces need to be small. If they are big chunks they make the pizza soggy.

You can't just throw pineapple on a pizza and expect it to be good.
In fact, most places can't make a good Hawaiian because they are too chicken shit to do it right.

First of all, you need a high quality, high fat content mozzarella. Fat spreads flavors out.
And the cheese needs to be molten.

Second, you need a super spicy pizza sauce to complement the sweetness of the pineapple.
Most pizza joints are going to shy away from a spicy sauce, because they need to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

So, you get a pizza with cheap rubbery cheese and a sweet sauce that doesn't complement the sweetness of the pineapple. The sweetness just gets amplified.

Try a real Hawaiian pizza before judging. Little Caesars isn't going to cut it.

It's a non-issue meant to satiate our need to give a damn about some contentious issue.
