I'm working with random forests and something called adaboost to unite the disparate models to do prediction.
I just got done before this smoke break, generating the training and test data. Had to learn the new framework on the fly and do some bug hunting, but being able to accurately predict key variables like factor length, leading digit, and a few polynomial exponents would massively speed up some of the ensemble methods to a level where they'd actually be practical, and I think that is within reach at least.
Right now I'm just doing the scaffolding for bringing all the various pieces together and a few dry runs of the data.
