Trump still equates authority with being correct. It's why he continually craves the attention of the New York times because he thinks of them is an authority. It's why when someone says who you going to appoint to the treasury he talks about people like Jamie dimond or Larry think because they're in current high positions and he just automatically assumes that if somebody's in a position of authority that they're the right people to talk to.
This is why he will never disassemble the deep State even if he really wanted to which I'm unsure of. He just doesn't know how. He's not that smart about that kind of thing.
Yes he is a tough and smart negotiator but he is not smart about the deeper constitutional issues and ideals and and the reasons they exist or the depths of problems. He just doesn't know about them maybe he never cared about them maybe he doesn't have the capacity to understand them or maybe he's gotten too old but he just doesn't
it's why he ran to Bill Gates when somebody said he needed to learn about vaccines because Bill Gates was the head of Microsoft therefore he must be right. that's the way Trump thinks. Trump is not the right guy.

I hate this country so much that upon moving my stuff out of on-site storage, back into my house after a massive remodel, I came upon the last American flag I own. I burned all the others because they were faded and torn, which is the thing to do. I almost burned the one last good flag. But I didn’t. But I wanted to, because, fuck this place and fuck its flag. The flag is only a target for where the guns and supplies are. But, I kept the flag. I thought, maybe someday I will be proud enough to fly fly it again. And maybe, just maybe if they come to do a flag check, because we have a proper leadership, I will have one in hand to keep out of trouble. We’re headed in either one of these directions , no doubt.
