@WhiteCollarCriminal...yeah Microsoft apparently had a minor glitch, no big deal but it interfered with global aviation...empty skies over Toronto are rare...very different

The bluest skies I ever saw over NY/NJ were the week following 9/11.

It may have been. It probably was. Perhaps it took an event such as that to make the rest of us look up at the skies.

It was like that for a little more than a week after 9/11. Pretty surreal. I was on one of the first flights out of PBI, talking like the day they resumed air travel. Packed flight full of very nervous people. Had a return flight five or six days later. There was only four or five other people on the plane other than the crew. That was fuckin wild. Had almost the whole 737 to myself, I'll probably never experience something like that again.

There was one year I had to do an unplanned mid week flight to Jamaica, I think it was 95/96, and I was 1 of 4 people on the plane and yeah it is different...later I found out that the 737 was being delivered to Uruguay.

In the late 90s flew to San Diego from StL and my little sis and I were the only non-crew on the plane. It was our first flight and I've never had one that nice since lol.
