Search it yourself, it’s a dumb idea. There is no good reason to get a tattoo, unless you’re a war hero and want to honor the fallen, or show your camaraderie, other than that it’s just vulgar and crass.

I advise against it. Unless you’re a sailor, you already did something incredibly stupid and signed on to sail, why not make it stupider.

Funny story, my first wife wanted to keep her maiden name. I was fine with that, but I never ever wore jewelry. A wedding ring is jewelry. The first two years I rarely wore a ring. Usually only took a couple hours before the rashy itch would appear. She was visibly agitated that "I was not marked as 'claimed'" by not wearing anything. Somehow, no ring means I'm available, so women would for some reason seek me out. Meanwhile, other women shop for taken men to prove they can poach someone's guy. In my head, since I'm not approaching anyone, no ring would be better.

Cannot say that's went through ex's mind, but seems dumb enough to be a possibility.
