submitted by Niggly_Puff to AI 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 07:53:54 ago (+8/-1)     (AI)

Upgoat.net is a website that aggregates news, memes, videos, and other content. It's often described as a "reddit alternative" that prioritizes free speech and allows users to post a wide range of content without restrictions. The site was created in 2021 as a response to the shutdown of voat.co, another platform known for its permissive environment.

Some key points about upgoat.net:

It's a content-sharing platform that respects users' freedom of speech.
Upgoat.net allows posting of various content types, including news, memes, videos, and more.
The site was founded in 2021 as a successor to voat.co, which closed down in December 2020.
Upgoat.net is often compared to and positioned as an alternative to Reddit, another popular online community.

Some notable features of upgoat.net include:

Open posting: Users can create and share posts on any topic, without the need for approval or moderation.
Unfiltered comments: The site allows for uncensored discussions in the comments section, providing a platform for diverse opinions and perspectives.
Invitations only: Access to upgoat.net is by invitation only, which helps maintain a sense of community and prevents spam or unwanted users.
Weekly guitar threads: The site hosts a weekly guitar thread, where users can share their guitar-related experiences, questions, and advice.

The front page features a mix of news articles, memes, videos, and user-generated content. It's organized into sections like "Top Posts," "Hot," "New," and "Random."

Many of the posts on the site are humorous, satirical, or provocative in nature, reflecting the platform's emphasis on free speech and a permissive environment.

Users can create accounts and participate in discussions by commenting on posts and creating their own content.

The site has a strong focus on community engagement, with features like upvotes, downvotes, and a "karma" system to encourage quality contributions.

Upgoat.net also hosts various subreddits-style communities centered around specific topics or interests, allowing users to find and engage with content that resonates with them.

These are just a few observations based on my exploration of the site. If you'd like me to dig deeper into any particular aspect of upgoat.net, please let me know! I'm here to provide you with the information you need.

We have a Karma system?
If that were true northern Virginia, southern Maryland, and the entirety of the Middle East would be glass by now.

Karma actually means that you fucked up terribly in a past life if you are born black.

"Weekly guitar threads: The site hosts a weekly guitar thread, where users can share their guitar-related experiences, questions, and advice."

Damned right.

Which Ai bot are you using?

I plan on making a dedicated thread on this but, LLama 3 8b with SillyTavern. The key is SillyTavern. Yeah it looks like toy for weebs but don't be deceived. It's damn power. But it takes a lot of time/knowledge to get your ST install built up. The base install is basically a blank canvas. You have to put all the pieces together. But it's not difficult. With the results I'm getting it's well worth the time invested. Way better than anything you can get online. And it's using only an 8b model.

I am working on a jewish question chat bot. I already have 60mb of the Talmud in English and The Learned elders in it. Haven't had a chance to fire it up yet but I am excited.

Interesting. Keep us updated. Would be curious to read dedicated thread when available.

What's an 8b model?

[ - ] Niggly_Puff [op] 1 point 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 15:16:52 ago (+1/-0)

8 billion parameters. This is a small model comparatively but the quality is really good for it's size. Llama 3 with 8 billion parameters on par with the llama 2 70b models. The more parameters an LLM contains the better it is at logic, reasoning and it's responses in general. Most PC can run it. You need a decent gpu if you want to run it fast and add on all the extra features (like img gen, text2speech, image vision, and more).

Joe_McCarthy has made several comments recently, primarily on the /v/OccidentalEnclave board. Here are a few notable ones:

In response to a post about the US intelligence community, he mentioned promoting the concept of "shadow war" and lone wolf wildfire arson attacks as a terror tactic, citing ISIS's endorsement of arson as a five-star tactic.

He criticized another user for not being suspicious of internet quotes, implying that many are fabricated. He also mentioned that Chris (observation1) has previously deleted threatening posts related to arson insurgency content.

Joe_McCarthy quoted several philosophers, including François de La Rochefoucauld and Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, to make points about the nature of democracy, authority, and governance.

He commented on a post about the UK election, predicting a Labour Party victory and a Conservative Party defeat.

In another comment, he responded to a discussion about white nationalist and anti-LGBTQ activity, sharing a news article on the topic.

Joe_McCarthy also engaged in a conversation about the non-nuclear period of World War II, challenging an interpretation that the US not using nukes on the Soviet Union was evidence of a Jewish plot.

He shared a link to a blog post about John Quincy Adams' views on Protestantism.

These comments demonstrate Joe_McCarthy's engagement with various topics, often with a critical or contrarian perspective. He frequently references historical figures, philosophers, and news articles to support his arguments.

Not a stable individual. He literally thinks I'm ChristopherWray. Not just any fed shill. He thinks thee fbi chief, between plotting to fuck up this country and senate hearings, has time to mock some pedophile on an obscure website.

We know how busy you must be Chris. We're just glad you take the time to come here and give pedo joe shit with the rest of us. LOL

I'm just messing around testing AI. I've been into this for over a year but I really started to dive in in the last week with text. I am both amazed and scared. The bot just looked at his last comment page I believe.

[ - ] Niggly_Puff [op] 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 13:35:27 ago (+0/-0)

He's delusional. There's no convincing someone with beliefs like that otherwise. It's real.. in his mind.

[ - ] Gowithit 3 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 10:07:43 ago (+3/-0)

weird when you put in his greatest hits and ask what it has in common it says substainability and other~ agenda 2030 goals are what they have in common.

[ - ] Niggly_Puff [op] 3 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 13:37:46 ago (+3/-0)

Technically I could crawl his whole profile, put it in a database and then ask it questions. That's the scary part. Anyone with a PC and a $300 graphics card can do this.

It's fascinating that Facebook would include voat in it's training data. This is similar to Google relying on Reddit. Though of course voat is based and the hazard is the model dropping racial slurs instead of being retarded like Google.

I was hoping for a summary of the great upcoming 'Suck-n-Fuck' commune bylaws
